The Field

Bradley Cooper and I like to go to this field behind the church at the end of our street. I have a gun that shoots little tennis balls, which Coop loves (well about 4 shots).

The last two times we have gone there, there was a big dog there, two different dogs. They both on separate times just wanted to play. They bowled him over and pushed and pawed him. So, we were going up there today and I told him if there was a big dog we wouldn’t go in. Well there were two. Bummer, but there is a kids playground, so, we went there. I put him in the kiddie swing, I think he was freaked, but kinda liked it. I did not get a photo, but I will, soon.

images Some birds are not meant to be caged, that’s all. Their feathers are too bright, their songs too sweet and wild. So you let them go, or when you open the cage to feed them they somehow fly out past you. and the part of you that knows it was wrong to imprison them in the first place rejoices, but still, the place that you lives is that much more drab and empty for their departure.

I made corn tortillas this week. Now, before you are all impressed, they are incredibly easy to make. It is corn flour and water, that’s it. I did get a tortilla press. The best part is they were really good. I need to work on them.

For dinner tonight, I took a tortilla and put it under the broiler, flipped it and put cheese on it back under the broiler, then put a slice of tomato and avocado. Delish! IMG_0122

I am so lucky, I got to spend the afternoon with this super sweet boy.

We took about a 45 minute walk. He is just so peaceful and calm. We ran into three wild Corgi’s and they were jumping at him and around him and he just stood there.
