Wordless Wednesday
Downtown Atlanta
Dahlonega, Georgia
Dahlonega, Georgia is located about an hour north of Atlanta.
In 1828, Dahlonega was the site of the first major gold rush in the United States. This is the Dahlonega Gold Rush Museum Historic Site. It stands in the middle of the town square. Around the square are cute shops and restaurants.
I met my friend Paula and her boyfriend Tommy and this wonderful pub, Shenanigans. The food was great! (I forgot to take food photos) It was great catching up with Paula and meeting her boyfriend for the first time.(He is a good soul) It was a wonderful afternoon.
Oh and this coffee shop was adorable.
So go look around, pan for gold, go tubing, or kayaking or hiking.

This is Maynard Jackson’s grave. He was Atlanta’s first African American Mayor and served for three terms. Atlanta’s airport is named Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
This is where Bobby Jones is buried.
Then across the street is Six Feet Under…a restaurant.More about that later.
Living
Love it!
Neighbors are the best!
I live on a cup-de-sac, with the BEST neighbors ever. I have another group of neighborhood friends one street over. They are AWESOME also! We had a little get together last night to say goodbye to one of our favorite families.
Every morning Bradley Cooper is greeted by the kids. They love him and he loves them. He is going to miss them a great deal.
This is a wonderful neighborhood!
Willy had a great time too!
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir
“A Mandir is a place of paramount peace….to realize God”
– Pramukh Swami Maharaj
A Mandir is a Hindu place of Worship. This one is located in Lilburn Georgia, a little way north of Atlanta. A fun and easy trip for staycationers…
I had company today. My nieces accompanied me to this temple.
More than 34,000 pieces were hand carved in India and shipped to USA and assembled in 17 months by volunteers.
This is an amazingly peaceful and loving place. Inside there are shrines to spiritual leaders and Deities. We couldn’t photograph inside. I wish I could have though, it is simply amazing. The carving details are fabulous. This is from the outside, it is even more intricate on the interior.
They have classes and social gatherings too.
These people were all dressed up beautifully and playing instruments.
Rain Thai and Sushi Bar
I have not been here in a long while and I am not sure why. It is so great! We started out with gyoza , it was so fresh and sweet. It was light and airy. Then Twp Tuna, White tuna and red tuna, it was delicious. Then the unreal best came out.
Lobster roll and volcano roll. Lobster Roll is unreal, so great! Vocano roll is excellent. You have to visit this restaurant! Let me know what you think.
