I did not know I would be searching for the river otter today. I was just going for a walk on a trail…

The first creek we come upon is just lovely. It was overcast, crisp and calming. I could hear two gentlemen having a conversation.

Apparently they had been there all morning just talking… Nice huh? They told me about a part of the boardwalk coming up that was closed for repair. They were very helpful.

I did not find the river otter, I did find the elusive river chicken though…

We are so fortunate in Atlanta to have so many trails to hike, run, bike and just explore. Every time I turn around I find another one. I believe the Beltline might be the most popular one, with the westside opening up recently.

This trail is at Mason Mill. There are 3 or 4 different main trails with several off trails to explore..

It is just a lovely place to spend the afternoon.
