Last night my neighbors and friends took me to a wonderful restaurant in Inman Park, Wisteria Restaurant. It was for a Hess Wine Maker’s Dinner and it was awesome.
We walked in and were handed a wonderful glass of Hess Select Sauvignon Blanc and greeted with Hor d’Oeuvres. There were bite size crab cakes (my fav), meatballs, a play on aracini balls, and a mushroom cheesy tart, everything was delicious.
First Course – Pickled shrimp, Pickled veggies, corn grit fritters, duck eggs on pickled mustard seed. It was amazing.
Second Course – Sesame Flour Fried Quail, with Kale, Peach Marmalade and Amarena Cherries this was paired with the Hess Select Pinot Noir, fantastic. The quail was moist, tender and flavorful.
Third Course – Rack of Lamb, Red Mule Polenta, English Peas Pistou, Red Wine Demi-Glace – Paired with The Hess Collection “Allomi” Cabernet Sauvignon. This was out of this world!
Fourth Course – Local Cheese Plate – This was a great finish to the meal. We were all really full by this point.
It was an absolutely fantastic meal! The company was wonderful, the restaurant is comfortable and welcoming, it is like eating at a friends home. I totally recommend this for a meal and definitely for another wine tasting.
How did you manage to eat all that? They mustn’t have rushed you out!
It started at 6:30 and wasn’t over till 9:30. We were all really full!
That’s so much like a European dining experience!
