Henry’s Louisiana Grill

My two nieces, Ella and Zelda accompanied me to Acworth Georgia (about 30 minutes north of Atlanta). We were on a mission to try Henry’s for Cajun food. IMG_5694

First a little about Acworth, it is an adorable little town with cute older homes and Lake Acworth and an adorable Main Street. IMG_5696They have gotten some of their 4th of July decorations out, as Zelda met Uncle Sam…IMG_5701   IMG_5699Then on to Henry’s.

IMG_5703 We were seated immediately in a cool cute restaurant with lots of warm woods and church pews and lots of New Orleans artwork and treasures.

We were served bread, two kinds, a cornbread and sourdough, both extremely yummy, but the cornbread won with just a tad of spice to it. Henry's 3

My niece, Zelda, had never had Cajun so we ordered the sampler appetizer with Gumbo, Crawfish Étouffée, and Jambalaya. We then order some hushpuppies and Fried Étouffée. Henry's 6It was all delicious. Just the right amount of heat to everything. (If you needed extra, they have a large variety of hot sauces on the table)Henry's 5These are two of the hushpuppies. I have never tasted hushpuppies like these, they were out of this world.

The service was excellent. Chef Henry came out and put beads around our necks. It was a great time and great food. We will return and recommend that you should try it out! IMG_5716
