Crisper weather, along with everyone on the Food Network making some sort of Chili and/or Dip today. One chili was a Bloody Mary Chili, with even a little vodka (I do put beer in my chili).
I started with some stew meat, heated up some olive oil, browned it took it out threw in some shopped up onions, celery, carrots and red pepper. Then I took some sausage, that had green hatch chilies in.
I put in spices, cumin, chile powder, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper. Tomato puree, diced tomatoes tomatoes with green chilies. (oh and some beer, modela especial) And yes some beans, light red kidney beans and dark red kidney beans.
It turned out great on this chilly chili day!
