 Some birds are not meant to be caged, that’s all. Their feathers are too bright, their songs too sweet and wild. So you let them go, or when you open the cage to feed them they somehow fly out past you. and the part of you that knows it was wrong to imprison them in the first place rejoices, but still, the place that you lives is that much more drab and empty for their departure.

Shawshank Redemption

I made corn tortillas this week. Now, before you are all impressed, they are incredibly easy to make. It is corn flour and water, that’s it. I did get a tortilla press. The best part is they were really good. I need to work on them.

For dinner tonight, I took a tortilla and put it under the broiler, flipped it and put cheese on it back under the broiler, then put a slice of tomato and avocado. Delish!

I pulled the “chili” out of the freezer to defrost for dinner.  I got some jalapeño Fritos. I opened the container, just to find Lentil soup.

I like lentil soup. It was the anticipation of the chili that made it disappointing. The soup was great!

I am so lucky, I got to spend the afternoon with this super sweet boy.

We took about a 45 minute walk. He is just so peaceful and calm. We ran into three wild Corgi’s and they were jumping at him and around him and he just stood there.

It was a beautiful day today, so, Bradley Cooper and I went for a walk…

Well Coop doesn’t like to walk on concrete trails or boardwalk trails, he enjoys going off trail. That’s what we did and I was so glad. 

This trail leads to a dog park, but right before the park is this.

Coop didn’t want to cross on the rocks, we will try another day.
