It automatically makes you feel better….

It makes everyone around you feel good too….

It makes your eyes twinkle, it also helps when you have beautiful eyes, which we all do!

If each of us gives a little more love around, it will help this crazy ole world!

Yes, and people will wonder what you have been up to….

New Buddy in the Hood!

IMG_8660

My neighbor, Josi, adopted a new rescue! His name is Mr. Conner Bear. He is beautiful, sweet and 10 years old, just a pup!

He was adopted from Adopt a Golden Atlanta. He was rescued from Turkey. AGA rescues these poor pups from Turkey.  The goldens are adopted as puppies and then when they are older, they are let go into the streets or forests. There are people that rescue them in Turkey but there are just too many, and because of their breed, so loving and sweet they cannot fend for themselves. So AGA heard about it and has rescued a lot of these dogs and there are other rescues around the country doing this also. (Please google Turkey Dogs for more info)

But C.Bear is a great new neighbor and we love him very much. Punkin is getting used to him too.

Fire in Atlanta

Here is what happened last week. On Thursday a fire started underneath one of Atlanta’s major highways during rush hour. Unknown-1 The heat was so intense that the expressway collapsed. This is I-85 going north out of downtown Atlanta. This is an extremely busy stretch of road. The fire also damaged the southbound lane. So traffic is diverted off of this huge portion of the expressway. More than 250,000 vehicles travel on these stretches of the expressway every day. As you can imagine side streets are jammed. The fire happened last Thursday and it is still crazy busy on all the side streets with the interstate closure. I-285 is the alternate way they are telling you to get around, but, that has to be like a parking lot.

Montaluce Winery and Restaurant

It’s Aries Birthday Month. My friend Paula, her daughter, Peyton, and I have birthdays all around each other. A few months ago, she planned a lunch at Montaluce Winery and Restaurant. images

It was a beautiful day. Montaluce is in Dahlonega GA, about an hour north of Atlanta. IMG_8649

They have so many different kinds of wine. This is just part of the vineyard. IMG_8640.JPG

It truly is an amazing place to visit.

We had lunch which was really really good. We started with a trio of hummus all yummy but the tzatziki was our hands down favorite. Yes, tzatziki hummus. IMG_8634

Pita is made in house. I think the pickles must be made in house too, very yummy.

So Paula and I got the burger, but not just a burger. It is domestic wagu, with hash potatoes, yes I said potatoes, then the yummiest melty american cheese, oh but put a fried egg on that before the cheese, to help with the umaminess of this burger. The fries were excellent too! I was super hungry, but had some hummus to fill the huge hunger void. I think this lends to the credibility of just how good this burger is.

It is a lovely place and totally worth the drive.

I bought a bottle of wine too! It was really very good. The company was awesome too.

Great Day!

A walk in the Park

Today Bradley Copper and I decided to go to Piedmont Park. Piedmont Park is one of the largest parks in Atlanta. They have a large dog park and a small dog park. No one was in the small park, so we went to the large dog park. IMG_3425

Coop got a little hot and a little tired.

He did make a friend…IMG_8630
