This family at the Atlanta Alive event was just adorable.

I had a great day volunteering for Dog Patch Atlanta, they are trying to get more dog parks in Atlanta. There is a law or ordinance that there cannot be dog parks built on less than 2 acres of land, it is an old one. The Atlanta Dog Patch is trying to change that law. Just trying to do good, new dog parks. I took some photos.

they were blasting Ghost Busters it was so cool

Red Nose Day USA is on May 24th 2018. Walgreen’s Drug Stores are the exclusive carriers of the Red Noses.

Bailey came for the weekend and he was a perfect gentleman…
There are many very good Mediterranean Restaurants in Atlanta. I love Mediterranean food. I love hummus, I have started making it myself, it is incredibly easy. We have a chain called Zoes Kitchen. I love their soups, Lentil, Tomato or Chicken and orzo, excellent. They just started serving baked Falafel, it was spicy and good, it was not as good as the Halal Guys.
They started with pushcarts in New York City and now we are so lucky to have a fast food restaurant here.
They have bowls like this but I love their sandwich in pita. They have this spicy sauce, it is delicious. My other favorite place is Yalla in Krog Street Market.
They have Laffa here for their sandwiches in addition to pita. Laffa is this large sheet of kinda pita. The sandwich is huge and delicious. Get the falafel or the chicken shwarma.
There are lot of great Mediterranean Restaurants in Atlanta. Oh, for belly dancing on Friday and Saturday nights and great food you need to go to Nicola’s and he will be dancing too!
Matthews Cafeteria is in Tucker, Georgia. This is about 20 minutes away from me. It is a true cafeteria, just trays and trays of hot food.
The desserts are the first thing you encounter. I pass them up ready for true comfort food. Their fried chicken is very good, but this day I was interested in meatloaf.

This looks burnt, but it wasn’t. It was exactly what I yearned for, that scrumptious warm loaf of meat goodness, tastes like your grandmother made it. One side was mashed potatoes. They just made the meat loaf so much better. Second side was lima beans. I love lima beans!

I usually do not get the roll, but it was the last carb necessary for the best comfort lunch ever. To finish it off, sweet tea. Come on, you know you are craving this right now.
I had to go to East Cobb today to deliver Easter Baskets to my nieces. On the way to their home I noticed a new restaurant, called Loyal Q and Brew. I thought I should give it a try, I do love some BBQ.

It was a little late for lunch, about 1:40, but they were open and it was opening day in baseball and they had the tvs for it!

No, there weren’t many people in there, but it was really clean. I liked the menu, or not, everything sounded so good.
I got the smoked turkey platter with collard greens and macaroni and cheese.
The smoked turkey was very good, the greens were really good. I did not think I would like the macaroni and cheese, but, it was gooey ooey great. They had this picked slaw that was out of this world great. I would love to go back and try some other things. Their brisket is probably great. Well worth the trip out there.
