A wonderful Staycation is found on Buford Highway. My neighbor Josi took me here today and I was one happy camper. For one hour, they massaged our feet in this dark peaceful room. They start out by putting your feet in some very hot water. Then they massage your feet and legs with soft music playing in the background. Oh and you are in a super soft cushy chair. Then they do some massaging with hot stones. There is one more step in the massage process, but you have to experience it yourself.
My neighbor, Josi, had a few people over yesterday and a bunch of sweet kids.
A game of hide and seek…Playing in the back of the pick up truck.Calming a crying baby. Yummy soup with friends and scrumptious cornbread. Then a little “girl” time in the back of the car. Say Cheese!
Traveling to Buford Highway in Atlanta is always an adventure. I decided on this restaurant. We get the medium ribeye Pho. Then you can add any condiment from the middle of the table. You can add bean sprouts and jalapeños and cilantro.
I will have to take you to some different cuisines! Let me know what you would like to see/eat.
The Old Sears Building stood vacant on Ponce De Leon for years, but a few years ago they started restoring it and making it Ponce City Market. Right now, they have a Williams Sonama and West Elm (which carries furniture and linens and all things related) And Antropologie. Oh they have a hat shop too. This lady told me I could not take photos with my camera. She said we could take photos with our phones but not with cameras.
The rest of the spaces are going to be restaurant stalls and restaurants. A bunch of Atlanta’s top chefs will be opening spaces here. These are old railroad tracks and train parts. They are going to have two cabooses on the rooftop. You will be able to sit and them and have cocktails and dinner.
Many years ago, my friends, Jackie Tyson and Amy Richter and I went to a game in Chattanooga, TN. The Chattanooga Lookouts played there and it was a fun time. If you have a chance, check out a minor league baseball game.
