I do not even want to tell you about this restaurant…It is AMAZING! I have been about 5 times now and it does not disappoint. I would not think I would like oxtail, but they are delicious. The jerk chicken is great, and I do not like jerk chicken. They also have this brown chicken, that falls off the bone and the sauce is so unbelievably thick and spicy but gravy like heaven. I used to always get the rice and peas, but then I tried the Rasta Pasta, I cannot describe the goodness of this pasta, and they put the brown chicken with the sauce on the pasta and it elevates it even more. They have lunch specials for $7.99 but you can also order off of the menu. But, the best thing are the collard greens…honestly, I said uhm when I took my first bite. The best thing about this restaurant is that it is kinda a drive, so, I know, if you want something great you have to really want it, but, it really is that good!
My Dad has dementia, those that follow me know that. I went to Jacksonville to take care of my dad and mom while my brother, who lives with them gets a break. It is a tough job being a caregiver for your parents, I applaud my brother. He does a great job. He does have help from my other brother though. My other brother schedules all of the nurse care and doctors and pays the bills. Thank god for both of them.
So, I went down to take care of them and cooked and cleaned and did yard work but then on Sunday I had an hour or two to take a break. I went to the beach.
It feels so great there, just to breath. It feels so right. But it was so chilly.
So Bradley Cooper and I walked for a while and it was great! OMG, People were swimming.
Crazy huh? I thought Bradley Cooper was enjoying it until I looked at the photo I took,
Look at that face…not happy, ready to go.

My neighbor Will was back in town and we met up with our old neighbor/friend Catherine (of recent Mardi Gras fame) at Ponce City Market.
Ponce City Market is a super fun place to dine and people watch and you can go up to their Skyline Park on the rooftop. (The rooftop has amusement games and a slide and fun food and a beer garden – admission only $5.00 in the winter)
But we were here to catch up and graze, we started at W.H. Stiles Fish Camp. We ordered s a variety of oysters, 4 different kinds. They were all very good!
Will and I got some calamari. This was really great. It had the tender calamari, not heavily coated with peppers and onions, garbanzos, lemons, anchovies and crispy shallots. If you like calamari, you have to try this.
Oh and the Po Boys come with Utz’s Crabby Chips (my all-time favorite chip!)
There are over 20 food and beverage stalls of some of the best restauranteurs in the city.It definitely is a super destination!
Six years ago awe shucks…My niece and nephew goofing around.
Meatless Mondays and for everyday, I roasted brussels sprouts, asparagus and squash. It is incredibly easy.
I cut the brussels sprouts into quarters and cut the squash and cut up the asparagus. I drizzled olive oil on them and sprinkled garlic powder and pepper. I mixed it all up so it all is coated. I put it in the oven at 425 degrees for 12 minutes. Then pulled them out and grated some parmesan cheese all over them and put them back in for 5 more minutes.
So so yummy!
