Woodlands Garden

On Cinco de Mayo I decided to go to a Mexican restaurant for lunch. It was a disaster! I am not going to name the restaurant, because I have been there before and it was just a really really really bad experience yesterday.

So, I needed some peace….IMG_5150So, I went to Woodlands Garden. This is off of North Decatur near Clairmont Road.   IMG_5145It is beautiful escape in the middle of the city.

Camp Creek Greenway – Another Trail?

IMG_5090This trail is in Lilburn Georgia. Lilburn has a cute little downtown area and right next to it is a park.IMG_5138There is a cute playground.IMG_5136There is a walking area…IMG_5132Then we found the trail.IMG_5098It was a gorgeous day and a beautiful trail. IMG_5091There were birdhouses all along the trail with bluebirds living in them.IMG_5104This is the end of one of the trails, I had no idea where I was. IMG_5097   IMG_5118  Coop was interested in the plants.

IMG_5119  We are so fortunate, that we can go anywhere in our city and find a trail.

IMG_5092Come walk with me! oh and Coop!

Georgia Southern University

I graduated from Georgia Southern University many years ago. IMG_5069The campus has at least doubled since I attended. IMG_5051This is a portion of Sweetheart Circle. It has beautiful old trees.IMG_5058    IMG_5055     IMG_5057Then I walked over to William’s Building…IMG_5071They had a second cafeteria here when I went to school and when it snowed we went and borrowed some trays to go sledding down the hill on.

The school’s photo lab was here too. (in the old days we had to process film) I spent many hours processing prints here. I got to be a photographic assistant for a while, it was great!

This campus is beautiful. Oh and the apartment I lived in for a couple of years is still there. IMG_5089 Everything else has changed on the campus and a lot in the town but these little apartments are still here. It made me smile.
