El Senor Taco on Buford Highway has great mexican fare. Quesadillas, tacos, seafood soup a salsa bar and it’s all very good. What I find craveable though are the shrimp tacos. The fish tacos are very good but the shrimp tacos are the BEST! You have to order the chips separately, but they are really great too and fresh.
This is obviously Chamblee City Hall. Across the street is my favorite furniture consignment shop,
Consignment Furniture Depot. If you need a new dining room table and chairs or sofa, bedroom, outdoor furniture or a greeting card (yes, they really have them too) I had to walk off my lunch from Southbound, the shrimp and grits, so onto The Ice House, next door.
This place rocks, it has a little bit of everything interesting. I don’t know if you’ve seen the retro looking refrigerators they sell now, well, they sell them here. They have cool totes and lots of collectables. I love this bar. Let me know what you think…
All up and down Peachtree Rd. (in Chamblee) are Antique Stores filled to the brim with treasures! Here’s what the fox said.

Then took the long trek to the end of the road across from a really cool cemetery. Was this place 
They make all kinds of furniture and frames and really cool items from reclaimed wood. They have cool metal flowers and all kinds of interesting stuff. It’s a fun Staycation in Chamblee. Down the other end of the road is Maison Robert Chocolates, whoa, that will take a whole other day.

Chamblee Bistro, is a comfy little sandwich shop. Great sandwiches, and the best brownies ever. That is what the sign said, I took the challenge and I agree, it is the best! I cannot wait to hear what you think!
Southbound is a fairly new restaurant in Historic Chamblee. (It is very new) I should give it a couple tries but it was such a positive visit on my first time. It has a super high energy, great vibe when you walk in. Very welcoming and comfortable! People are pleasant and extremely cheerful, without being phony.
The interior is way cool, very homey. Lot’s of brick, cool light fixtures, great bar! Warmth everywhere.

My waitress was awesome, I felt like I had known her forever. Her description of the food was wonderful. That is what led me to order the shrimp and grits. The best shrimp and grits I have ever had was in Charleston, until today. These were different than the Charleston grits, but they were great! The shrimp was cooked perfectly. The grits were creamy and smooth with these wonderful roasted tomatoes and some roasted garlic and onions. (my mouth is watering right now) I have a photo! 
Oh and crispy smoked pork belly, yes! It was delicious! I will be back and I will let you know what was great after that visit.
First things first, you can take photos at Super H Mart! Oh and everything is “super”! The fruit and veggies and beautiful and really reasonable. Then the meat, honestly it was such a nice meat department, but, what I came for was the seafood.
But more specifically, the salmon. 
This man was cracking me up. He was so accommodating! After seafood, I went to canned goods, they have my favorite refried beans.

Stone Mountain is a great place for a Staycationing Family. There is SkyHike, you can trek through the tree tops and they have zip lines. You can take the SkyRide to to top or you can hike to the top. (I decided to hike, it is not easy,but, it is an accomplishment. I mean, you ARE CLIMBING A MOUNTAIN!)

Thank goodness when you get to the top there is a great breeze. I met the nicest gentleman who took this photo of me and helped to teach me how to get back down.
There are trails that you can hike around the mountain also. There is also a train you can ride to go around the mountain.
After your day in the park they have the worlds largest laser light show with a fireworks finale!
I don’t need an excuse to grab a burger, but I am sure glad there was a reason today.
I went to Roxx to get their turkey burger (which is out of this world, thank you Tommy).
Side note, great great waiter! Super nice and considerate. This is a great fun place to dine! No excuses needed!
In Atlanta we have so many varieties of Farmers Markets. This one is huge and a lot of fun. If you can go during the week, it is a lot less crowded so kids can have fun looking at all the different fruits and seafood.
They , of course, have all kinds vegetables and they are so diverse. 
They have a ton of different spices and nuts.
There is also a bakery and it smells heavenly. 
But guess what? You can’t take photos. So, I quit, but, I have to tell you you have to go. It is incredibly clean.
They have all kinds of international foods.
The variety is amazing! You have to go see for yourself! Everything is reasonably priced, too.

This place is so far off of the radar. This is a little restaurant on Clairmont across from the Chamblee Library. It is french, obviously, I started with the soup, leek soup.
It was very flavorful and but right. Then I panicked I ordered the French Cheeseburger. I mean they had a french menu with mussels and snails and rabbit and duck. I ordered the French Cheeseburger, but, it was very good. The croissant was excellent!
I have to go back for more. Very reasonably priced too.
I forgot to let you know, the Decatur Arts Festival is this weekend! You can still make it today.
I will let you know what was going on there later.

There are a lot of fun things to do in downtown Atlanta. There are a few movies being filmed downtown right now. I enjoyed a great bowl of soup at Legal Seafood, it was wonderful. My waiter, Chris didn’t know which movie was filming but if Angelina Jolie was involved he would jump off the building to get her autograph (he is a huge fan, duh) It took the people filming an hour to shoot an Audi drive down Luckie St.
Then just a short walk into Centennial Olympic Park. They have the fountains spraying water and little kids running around and giggling, it is impossible not to get caught up in their happiness!
Then onward and upward to Skyview Atlanta. I cannot lie, it is a little scary at first, but you get used to it and you can see everything!
That’s Bobby Dodd Stadium. I totally recommend giving it a whirl.
Next stop, CNN Center. I didn’t take the tour, maybe another day.
