IMG_3833Fall is in the air and I love Mason Mill Park. There is the Garden.IMG_3843    IMG_3844    IMG_3848    IMG_3849They have a senior center and a great playground that is always crowded.IMG_3853Coop loves it!IMG_3857Then we headed down the trail.IMG_3863Here is some of the colorful graffiti. I will try and get some photos of some more of it. Anyway, then there is this tree….IMG_3867this tree sticks its tongue out at me every time we pass it. To continue our walk, we decided to go off trail, on a very safe looking trail. IMG_3868Oh whoops before we went off trail we spotted a turtle. Now off trail, IMG_3874this is where we went. It went along the railroad track. IMG_3875It ends out here….IMG_3879In the neighborhood. which way should I go?

IMG_3884I made it back to the trail and autumn is here!

Sprig Restaurant and a new trail, who knew?

IMG_3794So, I went to Sprig Restaurant for lunch, it was so very good! I had the veggie plate. Veggie PlateCollard greens, spinach and mashed potatoes with corn bread. It was awesome. Service could not have been better. SprigGreat comfy bar too! I really liked the feel of this place. Then going out to my car I noticed this,IMG_3799Frazier Rowe Park, right nest to this restaurant, a trail. IMG_3802It took about 15 minutes to walk and I was deep in too.IMG_3800It was well marked and a fun little hike, but how many more of these are out there? It is so fun!

IMG_3809This was on the bridge. Well I have to go walk now. Searching for a new trail.

Great Blue Heron

IMG_3745Staycationers can be surprised every day with something new on a walk. On this walk on the creek, I have seen ducks and birds, but everyday things. Today I was lucky enough to come upon this Heron.IMG_3749I came upon upon it on one end of the creek and it took off. Amazing wing span! My camera was not out, so I missed that amazing part. I did get to seed it again.IMG_3750Keep your eyes peeled you never know what you will see!

A New Trail to The Four Seasons Food Truck

This was a concrete trail, in midtown Atlanta.IMG_3724I parked in a parking deck, where the CB 2 (Crate and Barrel 2) resides. IMG_3740Then out to the street, Crescent Avenue. This is a road of really good restaurants. IMG_3739     IMG_3735     IMG_3732     IMG_3728     IMG_3727

Then on to the Four Seasons Hotel. IMG_3713This is a beautiful hotel in Midtown Atlanta. The Food Truck was in the parking lot. IMG_3699They started their trip on September 15th and they will be in Atlanta all week. I had the Savannah Crab Cake Sandwich with Cheesy tater tots with green onions. My first bite of the sandwich I was kinda like it’s okay, but two more bites into it, it was delicious. I ate the whole thing.  IMG_3707You have to go and try this and let me know what you think! IMG_3722Just a lovely hike!

A cool place to sit. Then there is Olivia’s trail.Olivia's TrailWho is Olivia and where is the bridge at the end of her trail? Coop and I had to jump the creek. It was an awesome hike. Let me know if you know who Olivia is and why?

Peachtree DeKalb Airport and Some Cool Clouds

My first Staycation blog was on Peachtree DeKalb Airport, so, I thought I would revisit it. The sky was really cool also, not beautiful cool but dark and eerie. IMG_3653   IMG_3661     IMG_3659

It is still a fun place to bring the kids. IMG_3665

It is also great place to bring your parents, there are usually a group of older men there watching the planes take off. It is really cute. IMG_3664  It really is a fun place to hang out.IMG_3650Even if you just like clouds….

Fall Festival on Ponce!

The Fall Festival on Ponce is an excellent Staycation idea for the whole family.IMG_3689They had so many rides and bouncy things and very happy children. There were a lot of super nice vendors with all kinds of artwork.IMG_3684It helped that the weather was super nice.

We saw two other King Charles Spaniels today also.IMG_3686They were tricolor King Charles. Oh and this cool artist I met told me the King Charles Spaniel is the most painted dog in history, because Kings owned them and all had portraits of themselves painted.

They had a few food trucks too.IMG_3697This festival is held in the fall and in the spring. There are a tone of fall festivals for you to enjoy during your Staycation.

Headed for Pallookaville, ended up at The Bishop

I decided to go some place new and Pallookaville Fine Foods was on my mind. It’s the corn dogs that are calling me. They have a polish sausage corn dog. So I drove to Avondale Estates. IMG_3678This is Pallookaville Fine Foods. I parked my car and I was walking past The Bishop, I just had to stop in. Bishop 6It was cool and dark and there was only one other patron in there. The wait staff was excellent. I ordered the hamburger and was excited they let me pick the temperature. I chose medium rare, I ended up getting medium, but, it was still very good! Bishop 5I got the homemade potato chips, excellent. I really like the space. photo 1-2They have wine on tap, fun huh. All in all a very good choice, I can’t wait to go back and try something else. (I also have to go back to Pallookaville)
