Wordless Wednesday
Mason Mill Park, and we went off trail….
Fall is in the air and I love Mason Mill Park. There is the Garden.
They have a senior center and a great playground that is always crowded.
Coop loves it!
Then we headed down the trail.
Here is some of the colorful graffiti. I will try and get some photos of some more of it. Anyway, then there is this tree….
this tree sticks its tongue out at me every time we pass it. To continue our walk, we decided to go off trail, on a very safe looking trail.
Oh whoops before we went off trail we spotted a turtle. Now off trail,
this is where we went. It went along the railroad track.
It ends out here….
In the neighborhood. which way should I go?
Sprig Restaurant and a new trail, who knew?
So, I went to Sprig Restaurant for lunch, it was so very good! I had the veggie plate.
Collard greens, spinach and mashed potatoes with corn bread. It was awesome. Service could not have been better.
Great comfy bar too! I really liked the feel of this place. Then going out to my car I noticed this,
Frazier Rowe Park, right nest to this restaurant, a trail.
It took about 15 minutes to walk and I was deep in too.
It was well marked and a fun little hike, but how many more of these are out there? It is so fun!
This was on the bridge. Well I have to go walk now. Searching for a new trail.
Great Blue Heron
Staycationers can be surprised every day with something new on a walk. On this walk on the creek, I have seen ducks and birds, but everyday things. Today I was lucky enough to come upon this Heron.
I came upon upon it on one end of the creek and it took off. Amazing wing span! My camera was not out, so I missed that amazing part. I did get to seed it again.
Keep your eyes peeled you never know what you will see!
A New Trail to The Four Seasons Food Truck
This was a concrete trail, in midtown Atlanta.
I parked in a parking deck, where the CB 2 (Crate and Barrel 2) resides.
Then out to the street, Crescent Avenue. This is a road of really good restaurants.

Then on to the Four Seasons Hotel.
This is a beautiful hotel in Midtown Atlanta. The Food Truck was in the parking lot.
They started their trip on September 15th and they will be in Atlanta all week. I had the Savannah Crab Cake Sandwich with Cheesy tater tots with green onions. My first bite of the sandwich I was kinda like it’s okay, but two more bites into it, it was delicious. I ate the whole thing.
You have to go and try this and let me know what you think!
Just a lovely hike!
Kittredge Park, a really nice trail!
Kittredge Park is behind Kittredge School, now the International School. It has a really nice walking trail.
It is through a park behind the ball parks and swimming pool.
Now that the weather is crisp and cool it was truly a lovely walk and a tiny bit challenging.
It really is amazing how many trails are right here in the middle of our crazy city.
This is at the top of the trail. A cool place to sit. Then there is Olivia’s trail.
Who is Olivia and where is the bridge at the end of her trail? Coop and I had to jump the creek. It was an awesome hike. Let me know if you know who Olivia is and why?
Peachtree DeKalb Airport and Some Cool Clouds
My first Staycation blog was on Peachtree DeKalb Airport, so, I thought I would revisit it. The sky was really cool also, not beautiful cool but dark and eerie.

It is still a fun place to bring the kids.
It is also great place to bring your parents, there are usually a group of older men there watching the planes take off. It is really cute.
It really is a fun place to hang out.
Even if you just like clouds….
Fall Festival on Ponce!
The Fall Festival on Ponce is an excellent Staycation idea for the whole family.
They had so many rides and bouncy things and very happy children. There were a lot of super nice vendors with all kinds of artwork.
It helped that the weather was super nice.
We saw two other King Charles Spaniels today also.
They were tricolor King Charles. Oh and this cool artist I met told me the King Charles Spaniel is the most painted dog in history, because Kings owned them and all had portraits of themselves painted.
They had a few food trucks too.
This festival is held in the fall and in the spring. There are a tone of fall festivals for you to enjoy during your Staycation.
Headed for Pallookaville, ended up at The Bishop
I decided to go some place new and Pallookaville Fine Foods was on my mind. It’s the corn dogs that are calling me. They have a polish sausage corn dog. So I drove to Avondale Estates.
This is Pallookaville Fine Foods. I parked my car and I was walking past The Bishop, I just had to stop in.
It was cool and dark and there was only one other patron in there. The wait staff was excellent. I ordered the hamburger and was excited they let me pick the temperature. I chose medium rare, I ended up getting medium, but, it was still very good!
I got the homemade potato chips, excellent. I really like the space.
They have wine on tap, fun huh. All in all a very good choice, I can’t wait to go back and try something else. (I also have to go back to Pallookaville)
