Kittredge Park is behind Kittredge School, now the International School. It has a really nice walking trail.
It is through a park behind the ball parks and swimming pool.
Now that the weather is crisp and cool it was truly a lovely walk and a tiny bit challenging.
It really is amazing how many trails are right here in the middle of our crazy city.
This is at the top of the trail. A cool place to sit. Then there is Olivia’s trail.
Who is Olivia and where is the bridge at the end of her trail? Coop and I had to jump the creek. It was an awesome hike. Let me know if you know who Olivia is and why?

Headed for Pallookaville, ended up at The Bishop
I decided to go some place new and Pallookaville Fine Foods was on my mind. It’s the corn dogs that are calling me. They have a polish sausage corn dog. So I drove to Avondale Estates.
This is Pallookaville Fine Foods. I parked my car and I was walking past The Bishop, I just had to stop in.
It was cool and dark and there was only one other patron in there. The wait staff was excellent. I ordered the hamburger and was excited they let me pick the temperature. I chose medium rare, I ended up getting medium, but, it was still very good!
I got the homemade potato chips, excellent. I really like the space.
They have wine on tap, fun huh. All in all a very good choice, I can’t wait to go back and try something else. (I also have to go back to Pallookaville)
Quest for the BEST – Fajitas – Nuevo Laredo Cantina
Nuevo Laredo Cantina has long been an Atlanta Favorite Mexican Restaurant. There usually is a long wait line out of the door. Today, there was plenty of parking and I walked in and was seated immediately. They have one of my favorite salsas.
Onto the fajitas, they didn’t sizzle but they were great.
They are seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The rice is definitely the best I have ever had. They are also the most expensive so far. – $18.95. It was a lot of food, but not any more than I have gotten for a lot less. So far, I would say these are the BEST I have had. I will continue my quest and report back to you!
Wow Morningside Nature Preserve!
I have to be honest, when I first got here I had my doubts.
This was part of the beginning view. Hmm, I am not sure how great this is going to be, but boy was I wrong!
Happy to get going.
It is a spectacular trail in the middle of the city.
It actually turns into a real trail. With a cool bridge.
Right in the middle of it. Then it ends here.
So, you have to go back.
This was one of my favorite places I have found yet.
Have you been here? Did you like it?
Historic Norcross Arts Festival
A fall Saturday in North Georgia means football and festivals!
There is a beautiful park in Historic Norcross.
Parking was crazy, but I was so lucky to find a place right by the park.
The huge pink dress was really beautiful.
The park was stunning. Then off to the Arts Festival, up to the top of the steps.
About two hours into it, it starts pouring down rain. I ran to the Rick Case Automotive tent
These are a few of their cars and they were super nice!
Festival after the storm. It will be there again tomorrow, you should check it out!
FALL!
New Day New Park Yahoo!!!
Hahn Woods is a beautiful, peaceful easy place to hike and walk the dog.
It is located on Emory University Campus and the creekside trail continues on to Lullwater Park.
We started out on the upper trail. It is about two minutes long but beautiful.
Then we went down to the creek side.
That is Houston Mill Rd, you can go under it and continue on the trail. We decided to go the other way first.
It is so quiet and peaceful.
It is so quiet, but beware, there are some joggers on the trail and they come up on you fast and it can spook you.
It is truly lovely. This is on the banks of the South Fork of Peachtree Creek. It is amazing! Let me know if you have been.
Running errands, yes part of Staycation too!
My television died, well the cable did. So I called Comcast to see if it was something in the area or my cable box. Oh, it must be your cable box there is nothing our in your area. I ask for the address, she couldn’t get it to come up on her computer, I was all like, oh I know where it is. Well, I knew where it was. It has moved from Chamblee to Buckhead (a fancy area of Atlanta).
Super nice Xfinity store. Short wait lots to look at. (The old Comcast office was horrible, like a United States government run organization, you know where everyone has a tude and not a good one) So after I pick up my new box, I noticed a Pink Berry around the corner. Fancy frozen yogurt. I thought I would give it a try.
That didn’t happen. I walked in and I was the only one in the whole place in front of the counter and behind. I gave it a “Hello”. It wasn’t meant to be.
I want to show you a few more shots of the Buckhead skyline from where I was standing.

I will take a walking tour in a few weeks to give you a better perspective.
Back on subject. So, I can’t get the new box to work. So, I call Comcast. After being passed around 4 times and still ending up with the wrong person, I ask the lady if this is part of their new advertising for better customer service. So, as I sit here waiting for the Comcast Technician, I found out last night all of my neighbors Comcast was out also. Pretty funny huh?
South Peachtree Creek Trail Photos
Piedmont Park (again)
Piedmont Park has two dog parks. One for big dogs and one for small dogs. There were two Yorkies and a yellow lab in the small dog park (I think the couple of owners were making a connection, very cute). This is the big dog park. It was an overcast day (obviously)
The park is huge and absolutely lovely. It is a great time to visit because it is so cool and not too crowded.
This is the pool, which is closed now but just so beautiful.
Another shot, I thought I had a shot of the bath house, I will have to look. In this shot you can see the lake behind the pool. So peaceful!
They were having something called Wonderlust 108, Music, yoga, games it was wonderful music to walk around the park to.
There was a photo shoot on the gazebo.
Lots of softball, and beach volleyball going on.
Atlanta Botanical Gardens are right next door, we should go visit soon!
