We started on the trail and came upon this tree. It had about 15 ornaments and some red garland and gold garland. I think I will take an ornament on my walk tomorrow to add to the tree.
The beautiful red berries on the bushes are natures decoration.
These lovely little flowers decorated the path.
This Hairy Woodpecker was busy at work.
Whoops something is wrong with the picture. Merry Christmas to all!!!

Coop is Growing Up
When I first met Coop he didn’t lift his leg to pee, he just squatted (like a girl) but my boy is growing up. Not only did he lift his leg on our walk this morning, but he did it three times. Proud Mom, yes!
Although, one of the neighbors introduced him to the delicacy of cat poop treats. Not mentioning any names, okay? Addie Butts….So, trying to discourage this new fun treat.
Who me?
Manicotti Tonight
This is my first attempt at Manicotti. Yes, it was delicious, the photo doesn’t do it justice. I used spicy turkey sausage for the sauce, The best part was the Ricotta cheese filling. I put it in a zip lock bag and cut off the tip on one side and I was filling the first and it was like a sitcom, it squirted out the top. I ended up filling them by hand. It was pretty funny. If you would like the recipe, let me know.
I made something else this week that I have never made before a Cajun Chicken Cassoulet. It had okra and chicken and sausage, andouille. This was very tasty. Again, if you would like this recipe let me know.
Sometimes enjoying a Staycation, you can have fun cooking!
The Moon and Coop Tonight
Six Feet Under Pub and Fish House
I was craving Fish Stew. It was grey and rainy out so, comfort food was in my head.
First the name Six Feet Under, their first location is across from Oakland Cemetery, a really big cemetery (people are dying to get into it!) A lot of old famous Atlantans are buried there. Margaret Mitchell and Bobby Jones to name a couple.
So, that one was so successful they added another one in the westside of Atlanta.
They have these cool prints of Atlanta and lots of photos of Oakland Cemetery.
It was extremely busy, but they seated me right away. My waiter Harley, great guy, not the quickest fellow, but he did have a few tables. He made up for his tardiness by being really super nice. I started with this.
Two Stone Crab Claws! Yahoo!
Then the yummy Fish Stew.
This Stew is excellent. Shrimp, mussels, scallops, and a huge piece of fish. Two big pieces of bread for dunking!
Off the TRAIL !
Coop and I decided to go off the trail today and this is what we saw.
Lots of graffiti.
and more graffiti
oh wait there was even more graffiti.
But if you look closely, it is really some cool artwork. Then we went down to the creek.
It was really nice out today.
Then we had to get back to the trail.
Up this little hill, and then we found it.
It was a great day for exploring.
can you see the chimney?
This is where the original Decatur water works were like a million years ago. Now it’s just ruins or canvas for graffiti. There are a lot more trails off the trail so new adventures await. Coop was really pooped afterwards.

Places You Cannot Take a Pocket Knife
It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas – Decatur
Atlanta is made up of a lot of little towns and neighborhoods and one of my favorites is Decatur. Today when I visited the Square in downtown Decatur, they had up their Christmas decorations and were playing Christmas tunes.
Music was coming from here. It actually put me in a great mood. Then to see kids running and playing around.
Jumping!
Climbing on cannons!
Walking the dogs!
Taking the Christmas photo on the Courthouse steps!
Oh and parking is free on Sundays! Let’s visit again next week! You want to come?
House Guests fighting over Coops Toy
